The final Factory Party has now come and gone and it's been a blast. Most of the video shooting has wrapped up and as I begin the long process of editing piles of video, I have a lot of thanks to give. First and formost, Randy Gibson and The Modern Leisure, for putting on a world class party, 8 times, and raising the bar for Calgary's art and music scene. My video crew for the night, Brendan Webster and Glen Hayes, for jumping into a half baked video project, and making it kick ass, and Lindsey Baker for the time lapse help. Thanks to the guys at Vistek and The Camera Store, for helping me scramble to get the gear I needed, and showing me how to use it.Thanks to Lee, for this hot Instanx photo of Glen & I at work. And thanks to all you party goers, especially the ones I interviewed. Such a strange blend of stylish-sexy, and often batshit crazy, you made so much of FP what it was.

It will take some time edit this little project, but stay tuned for the web release of the Factory Party Documentary, you will see it here first.

</rss:item><rss:item rdf:about="http://www.stalman.ca/photo-blog/friday-march-12-will-be-the-end-of-calgarys-illustrious.html"><rss:title>Friday, March 12 will be the end of Calgary's illustrious</rss:title><rss:link>http://www.stalman.ca/photo-blog/friday-march-12-will-be-the-end-of-calgarys-illustrious.html</rss:link>

<dc:subject>Factory Party Videos</dc:subject>

Friday, March 12 will be the end of Calgary's illustrious Factory Parties.
Only days after his first orthodontist appointoint, our favorite 9 year old took a terrible spill on big bike, reducing his front tooth to a fraction of it's former self. About 3/4. Fortunately, we have since taken him to the dentist, and then specicialist (daily word: endontist) for a quick repair. He is now back to full health, and on schedule to cover that shiny new tooth, with a shiny set of braces.

</rss:item><rss:item rdf:about="http://www.stalman.ca/photo-blog/behind-the-scenes-photo-video-shoot-for-visuell-interactive.html"><rss:title>Behind the scenes - Photo & video shoot for Visuell Interactive</rss:title><rss:link>http://www.stalman.ca/photo-blog/behind-the-scenes-photo-video-shoot-for-visuell-interactive.html</rss:link>

<dc:subject>Videos</dc:subject>

Here is a peak at the photo and video shoot for Visuell Interactive's new website. Very cool video and flash fusion.

Thank you so much to Glen and Magda for looking hot and helping to put this together in such a huge rush, thanks to Aaron at Visuell, for being so fantastic to work with, and double thanks to Matt for running around us with the 5D to capture this backstage fun.

Video for Visuell was shot on the 7D with the 24-105mm and the 35mm f/1.4, and behind the scenes is on the 5D mkII with the 50mm f/1.2. Lighting with a set of Lowel lights, and a pair of Luxman portable packs that died 20 minutes into the shoot! So we were running at half power the whole time, which meant some serious masking in post, which was done in Photoshop.
